From Raw Concrete to Brand Hero: The Story of Betoniy
How we turned a concrete producer's brief into Betoniy, a 3D mascot shaped like a statue that comes to life.
How do you make concrete feel more human?
That was the challenge our client brought to us.
They didn’t just want to stand out in a tough, utilitarian market — they wanted to connect. To make concrete feel relatable, warm, and even a little fun.

We started where you’d least expect: with an ancient statue.
The Idea: Strength with a Smile
The client’s brief was both poetic and practical:
“Let’s create a mascot that feels like a statue. It symbolizes durability and stability. Just like our concrete.”
So we imagined what it would be like if a statue came to life.
Strong. Timeless. Stoic — but approachable.

Naming Our Hero
Names carry weight. We tried a few:
Betonchyk? Batonchyk? Beton?

Then it hit us — Betoniy.
It had dignity. Strength. A slightly mythic quality. Perfect.
Giving Betoniy a Face (and a Job)
From there, we molded a personality. Betoniy had to be more than a face on a package — he had to work for the brand.

That meant a full ecosystem:
- 2D and 3D animation for video content
- Retail screens and social media posts
- Product packaging and POS visuals
- Statues at construction sites and offices
- Appearances at events, fairs, and charity activations
We crafted every detail: how he looks, how he smiles, how he moves and interacts. Betoniy had to be adaptable, memorable, and consistent across every touchpoint.
The Result: A Mascot That Builds More Than Walls

Today, Betoniy isn’t just a mascot. He’s a brand ambassador. A symbol of strength with soul.
And yes — he takes selfies now. And makes people smile.
It’s one thing to design a character. It’s another to design a presence.
That’s what Betoniy became.
Concrete — reimagined, with personality.
Got a bold idea? Let’s bring it to life — with a face, a voice, and a story that sticks.
