What it is
What a 2D explainer does
A 2D explainer is a short animated video about one idea: what your product is, who it is for and how it works. Drawn scenes, characters and icons replace screenshots and jargon, so the point lands the first time someone watches.
When you need it
- Your product takes a long call to explain, and people still ask “so how does it work?”
- Visitors land on your site and leave before they understand what you do.
- Sales and support answer the same basic questions every day.
What you get
- One clear message, agreed in the script before anything is drawn.
- A style built on your brand: colours, type, characters.
- Cuts for the site, ads and social made from the same animation.
Delivery formats16:9 for the site and YouTube, 9:16 and 1:1 cut-downs, subtitles and language versions on request.

FAQ
Before you ask
Do you write the script?
Yes. We write it from your brief or polish the one you have. The script is signed off before drawing starts.
Can a 2D explainer handle a technical product?
Yes, that is most of our explainer work. For Arnica we explained software supply chain security to engineering leaders. For Profeed we explained a feeding system that mounts on a tractor.
Can we get it in other languages?
Yes. The Profeed explainer was made in Ukrainian and English, and Sterilox got language versions built from the same animation.
How much does a video cost?
It depends on four things: length, style (2D, 3D or live action), how complex the animation is, and how many versions and formats you need. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll send an estimate with a few options, so you can choose where to spend and where to save. If you have a budget, share it and we'll show what fits inside it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the length and the style. A short explainer moves faster than a 3D product film with several scenes. You'll get a date for every stage before we start, and it goes into the contract. If you have a launch date, tell us up front and we'll plan around it.
What do you need from me to give an estimate?
Three things help most: what the video is for and where it will be shown, roughly how long it should be, and a few references you like. A brief, brand guidelines or an existing script are a plus but not required. If you're not sure yet, book a call and we'll work it out together.
How do revisions work?
Revisions are built into every stage. You review the script, the style frames, the animatic and the animation, and nothing moves forward without your sign-off. That way changes happen early, when they're cheap, not at the end. The number of revision rounds is fixed in the contract before we start.
What do I get at the end?
Final video files in every format you need: 16:9 for your site and YouTube, 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 1:1 for feeds, plus shorter cuts, subtitles and language versions if you ordered them. Files are named and sized for where they'll live.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. We work as a production partner for agencies, including Dizarm, Inweb and Idealers, and offer monthly hour packages. See the For agencies section or get in touch.
